During Black History Month, TIME’S UP Foundation, ‘me too.’ International, and the National Women’s Law Center unveiled We, As Ourselves, a collaborative campaign to reshape the narrative around sexual violence and its impact on Black survivors. The coalition partnered with BET to launch this call to action to center the stories of Black survivors.
“We actually don’t win anything without Black women. …TIME’S UP’s mandate is to make sure that we’re in partnership and allyship with Black women led organizations,” said Monifa Bandele, chief operating officer at TIME’S UP Foundation. Read the exclusive in BET here.
