Washington Post: NFL Probe of Harassment at Washington Football Team Should Be Made Public, Activists Say

Culture, Safety

As reported in the Washington Post, the independent investigation into allegations of sexual harassment at the Washington Football Team is almost complete. In response, and ahead of the Super Bowl weekend, TIME’S UP Foundation, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Futures Without Violence, and the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) issued a joint letter urging NFL Commissioner Goodell to publicly release findings of the investigation.

The groups wrote, “There cannot be accountability without transparency…If the NFL fails to release the report, these women will feel — correctly, we believe — that the risk they took was in vain and that Mr. Snyder succeeded in silencing them.” Read more about the letter and the investigation here.
